Healthy Cookies?

It seems like most people I know have a sweet tooth. For most of my clients I recommend to have a piece of fruit instead, it is like nature's candy - but there are times that cantaloupe and blueberries just don't suffice. In that case you should have a chocolate protein shake, but just in case that will not help either, I created this recipe for cookies by just replacing certain ingredients with healthier alternatives. This has made the cookies much lower in calories but also added antioxidants. Another key you should not forget though is portion control! Last time I made these someone devoured them all in less than 24 hours. Please just have one and share the rest with friends or for later in the week. I am working on replacing the cane sugar with stevia, but a cup of sugar is equivalent to a teaspoon of stevia and without the sugar they don't brown - so I will continue to expirement and if you have figured it out, then let me know!

3/4 c. cane sugar
3/4 c. organic brown sugar
1/3 c. olive oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. egg whites
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 package organic dark chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375. Mix sugars, egg whites, and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Then add the chips. Tablespoon mixture on cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes.
